The FedSuccess Study Start Scholarship is available to current domestic Australian Year 12 commencing undergraduate students who have overcome hardship to be offered a place at Federation University.
Eligibility
- Be a current domestic Australian Year 12 student (2024)
- Be an undergraduate student commencing in semester 1, 2025
Awarded for:
- financial disadvantage
- being the first in your immediate family to attend university
- being an Indigenous Australian
- being a refugee or asylum seeker
- having to relocate to attend tertiary study
- intending to live on campus
- having been in formal out-of-home care
- having a disability or medical condition that affects your education
- having experienced difficult circumstances that have affected your education
- community service
- leadership
Scholarship Amount
$4000 paid in instalments over two years:
- $1000 payment post semester 1 and 2 census date in year 1 (total $2000 in year one)
- $1000 payment post semester 1 and 2 census date in year 2 (total $2000 in year two)
Conditions
- Be active and enrolled full-time post census date of each semester in year 1 and year 2
- Students who defer their offer or take a leave of absence will forfeit their award
Application process
To apply you must complete and submit a complete VTAC scholarship application and submit any required evidence.
Process or administrative considerations
Successful candidates will receive $4000 paid in four instalments of $1000.
