The 2024 Care Experience Scholarships aim to support eligible Higher Education and TAFE students, who have been in foster care, kinship care or residential care by acknowledging their resilience and potential and breaking barriers to education.
Eligibility
Domestic Higher Education or TAFE studentEnrolled at one of the Federation University campusesCare-Experienced – for example, foster care, kinship care, residential care, former Ward of the StateScholarship Amount
6 Scholarships Available
4 Scholarships available for students commencing in semester 1, 2024. Two scholarships are available for TAFE students and two scholarhips to Higher Education students.
2 Scholarships are available for continuing students in semester 1, 2024. One scholarship for TAFE students and one scholarship for Higher Education students.
The recipient will receive a single payment of $1,000 after the census date.
Conditions
Be active and enrolled for the full year post census date.Students who defer their offer or take a leave of absence will forfeit their award.Must not be in their final semester of studying when applying.Not in receipt of a Foundation Care Experience Scholarship.Subject to funding availability.Offers
