Description

To be eligible for the FedSuccess Support Grant students must attend an appointment to discuss circumstances and eligibility.

Grant Purpose

To support students experiencing significant financial hardship which is impacting program progression.  

Grants can be used to assist students with the following;

  • Unexpected bills and/or expenses causing significant financial hardship 
  • Purchasing of required special equipment that will support program progression
  • Undertaking relevant professional development that will enhance and support program progression  

Grant Amount

  • $500 for part time students 
  • $1,000 for full time students

 Eligibility Criteria

  • Be currently active and enrolled in a program with Federation University Australia
  • Experiencing significant financial hardship that is, or has the potential, to impact program participation and progression
  • Be able to provide, via upload, evidence to support financial hardship and/or circumstances
  • Not received a FedSuccess Support Grant in the current application year
  • Students commencing their study at Federation University Australia in Semester 1 2022 are not eligible for this Grant until after Semester 1 census date: 31st March 2022

Please note: applications can only be submitted following an appointment with a Grants officer.  

 Evidence Requirements

Evidence requirements will be discussed at your initial appointment. 

The types of evidence required to support your application are:

  • Bank statements for the past two months that demonstrates financial hardship, and
  • Copies of due or overdue bills and expenses, and
  • A budget template, and
  • Valid quotes for any equipment, repairs and/or professional development required to assist program progression

Please note applications without appropriate evidence will be considered ineligible.
